Follow the Black Crow: A Story of Ambition, Liberation and Celebrating Individuality.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Circus 66, a band with bold ambitions and an unapologetically liberating tone not only to their music but also in the conversations we had in our writing sessions together. What struck me most about this collection of people was their unshakeable determination to reflect their shared character in the words of their new biography. They came to me with an open mind but also a strong idea on how the words should form and the unified message they wanted the audience to read. It connected immediately with me and very soon we saw that direct path between them and their audience with a beautiful sense of clarity. Here is that story.

Where can freedom be found? It isn’t the destination that determines our successes, our achievements, and ultimately finding our love for living. It is the journey that forms that path and how you CHOOSE AND MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICE and follow the black crow. This is the animal within; the single-minded, dogged, and determined defiance to only follow your path and choose your way. We cannot repeat the same mistakes but learn from those before us, resonate with those stories and lessons and then carve our destiny. FOLLOW THE BLACK CROW is the DEBUT ALBUM by CIRCUS 66 and a call for personal freedom; liberating yourself from conventional thinking and following your path. JUST BE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE.

Written precisely at the right time this makes perfect sense with the message and tone of defiance; not founded in negativity but in the pursuit to CELEBRATE INDIVIDUALITY. Cutting through the noise of conventional expectation, we remind ourselves that there is always a choice and then come to the lyrics and music; from a series of sketches to a defined message and purpose; under restrictions, there is always a choice, a decision, and a mission. CIRCUS 66 is also proud to announce that on SATURDAY 3rd JULY they will be debuting FOLLOW THE BLACK CROW in a LIVE and EXPLOSIVE web stream played-in-full show, from the world-famous KK’s Steel Mill, Wolverhampton, UK. You will be able to see and hear the album as it is broadcast simultaneously across several social media platforms including Facebook and YouTube.
